Espresso Balsamic Poached Pears

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 firm pears, cored and halved
  • 1/2 cup Di Oliva Espresso Dark Balsamic 
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick 
  • Mascarpone or Vanilla ice cream for serving
Directions: 

Simmer pears in balsamic, wine, sugar & cinnamon until tender (about 20 minutes). Serve warm w/mascarpone or ice cream topping with poaching liquid.
